Additionally, version v1.4.0 of the “Google AI Edge Eloquent” app has added support for Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Russian, Thai, Turkish, Vietnamese, and Japanese. While the app was previously limited to English, it can now finally be used in Japanese as well.
However, the in-app interface has not been localized and remains in English.
Unlike standard voice input software that blindly transcribes misstatements and filler words like “um,” “uh,” and “er,” the “Google AI Edge Eloquent” app uses AI to automatically edit out slips of the tongue and fillers, converting only accurate sentences into text. Furthermore, it goes beyond simply editing out mistakes and fillers by understanding the context of disjointed spoken language to craft polished, flawless sentences.
Another key feature of the “Google AI Edge Eloquent” app is that it does not require a server connection, operating efficiently right on your device. This means it works offline, and sensitive personal data is never sent to Google servers or elsewhere.
Starting from the previous app version v1.3.0, the app also added support for uploading audio and video files, allowing users to transcribe uploaded recordings. Furthermore, the “Google AI Edge Eloquent” app includes a feature that learns the user’s vocabulary and creates an editable dictionary saved to their Google Account.
Despite being packed with so many features, “Google AI Edge Eloquent” is completely free.
