On Wednesday, September 2, 2026 local time, as previously announced on Friday, August 28, 2026, Google revised the usage limits for the AI features of the AI research tool “Gemini Notebook.”

Previously, “Gemini Notebook” had daily limits set for each individual feature, such as “Video Overviews,” “Audio Overviews,” and “Infographics.” However, starting Wednesday, September 2, 2026, these usage limits have been revised to introduce computing-based usage limits, similar to the “Gemini” app. In addition, the usage limit reset interval has been dramatically shortened from the previous 24 hours to 5 hours.

This makes it much easier to make the most of the content generation feature “Studio.” Along with this, a new scheduling feature has been introduced, allowing users to specify execution times for particularly resource-heavy tasks like “Video Overviews” to help them manage their usage limits more effectively.

Usage limits can be viewed in the settings screen. “Google AI Ultra” memberships receive up to 5 times the usage limit of “Google AI Pro.”
  • Shorter reset cycle: The limit reset interval has been shortened from 24 hours to 5 hours, providing a more continuous allocation of usage allowance throughout the day.

2026年9月2日より変更される点: 

  • コンピューティング量に基づく使用量上限: これまで機能ごとに設定されていた上限が、プロンプトの複雑さ、チャットの長さ、ソースの数、使用する機能などを考慮して設定されるようになります。使用量上限は設定でご確認いただけます。Google AI Ultra のサブスクリプションをご利用のお客様には、AI Pro プランの最大 5 倍の使用量上限が適用されます。
  • リセット サイクルの短縮: 上限のリセット間隔が 24 時間から 5 時間に短縮され、1 日を通してより継続的に使用枠が割り当てられるようになります。 
  • 生成の予約実行: コンピューティング負荷の高いアーティファクトの上限をより適切に管理するために、後で自動的に実行されるようスケジュールを設定できます。

変更されない点: 

  • 機能: これまでお使いいただいた機能は、引き続きすべてご利用になれます。
