- A new “Call Diagnostics” tool appears to be rolling out for Android and Google Pixel devices.
- Analysis of the p.2026.24 update for the “Adaptive Connectivity Services” app for Android confirms the addition of resource code related to “Call Diagnostics.”
- This appears to be a troubleshooting feature for voice calls; if an issue such as a glitch or disconnection is detected during a call, a system alert stating “Calling issue encountered. Do you want to run call diagnostics?” will appear, allowing the user to initiate a diagnostic program.
Android and Google Pixel devices already feature a variety of built-in diagnostic tools, including “Touch diagnostics” for the display, “Battery diagnostics” and “Charging diagnostics” for battery health, “Device temperature” for monitoring overheating, and “Troubleshoot mobile connectivity” and “Bluetooth diagnostics” for call and connection issues.
Tools like “Bluetooth diagnostics” and “Battery diagnostics” were only recently introduced. However, it now appears that a new “Call Diagnostics” tool is also on the way.
This possibility was revealed through our original “App Analysis” series.

The “Call Diagnostics” tool coming to Android is expected to serve as a troubleshooting feature for voice calls. If an issue—such as a malfunction or disconnection—is detected during a call, the system will trigger an alert asking, “Calling issue encountered. Do you want to run call diagnostics?” allowing the user to seamlessly run the diagnostic program. However, we have not yet confirmed the public rollout of this feature.
