On Tuesday, August 25, 2026 (local time), SwitchBot, the No. 1 IoT device brand, released a teaser for “IFA 2026,” one of the world’s largest consumer electronics trade shows, which will be held in Berlin, Germany, starting on Friday, September 4, 2026.
In the released SwitchBot teaser, under the tagline “Announcing SwitchBot’s New AI Assistant and Smart Lock,” the company previews the announcement of a “New AI Assistant” product and a “Smart Lock” product. They also shared an image showing the silhouettes expected to be these products.
One of the products identified as the “New AI Assistant” is the “SwitchBot AI MindClip,” a smart voice recorder that was officially announced in Japan on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Meanwhile, the product identified as the “Smart Lock” is the newly unveiled next-generation “SwitchBot Lock,” likely the “SwitchBot Lock Ultra 2.”
The “SwitchBot Lock Ultra 2,” whose existence was discovered in the app files of the Android version of the “SwitchBot” app v10.1 update, is the successor to the existing “SwitchBot Lock Ultra.” As expected, the “SwitchBot Lock Ultra 2” will be officially unveiled at “IFA 2026.”
Additionally, it is expected that the “SwitchBot Robot Vacuum K7,” the next-generation model in the “SwitchBot Robot Vacuum Kx” series of compact robot vacuums, and the latest model in the “SwitchBot Ceiling Light” series, the “SwitchBot Ceiling Fan Light (SwitchBot RGBICWW Ceiling Fan Light),” will also be officially announced at “IFA 2026.” Several other new products are likely to be revealed as well.
