On Monday, June 1, 2026, Google released “Android 17 Beta 4.1,” the latest update for the “Android 17 Beta 1” release of the next-generation Android OS, which first arrived on Friday, February 13, 2026.

While the “Android 17 Beta” program was intended to conclude with the previous update, “Android 17 Beta 4,” as the final release leading up to the official launch of “Android 17,” this additional minor update, “Android 17 Beta 4.1,” has now been made available.

The newly released “Android 17 Beta 4.1” can be installed by flashing the device using the “Android Flash Tool” or OTA images. Since the Android Beta Program has already transitioned to quarterly platform releases (QPR) following the official “Android 17” launch, “Android 17 Beta 4.1” will not be pushed automatically to Google Pixel devices enrolled in the program. Installation of “Android 17 Beta 4.1” requires manual flashing.

Supported Google Pixel devices include a total of 20 models: Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 9a, Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The “Pixel 10a” remains excluded at this time.

“Android 17 Beta 4.1” includes five specific bug fixes.

  • Fixed an issue where the signal strength bar in the status bar was incorrectly displayed as zero despite an active connection.
  • Fixed a UI synchronization issue where the mobile data Quick Settings icon remained active while in “Airplane Mode.”

  • Fixed a Bluetooth audio routing issue that caused playback to stutter after system interruptions, such as timers.
  • Fixed an issue where hearing aids were automatically removed from paired devices when inactive or after charging.

Regarding last year’s “Android 16,” the major update was released in Q2 2025, followed by the minor “Android 16 QPR2” update in Q4. Similarly, for the next-generation Android OS “Android 17,” the major “Android 17” update is set for Q2 2026, with the minor “Android 17 QPR2 (tentative)” update scheduled for Q4 2026.
