- The “Delete last 15 minutes of search history” option on the web version of Google has quietly changed to “Delete last 30 minutes.”
- This follows a similar change in the Android Google app around early October 2025.
- The iOS version of the Google app still displays “Delete last 15 minutes.”
Back in early October 2025, we reported that the quick-access button for clearing recent search history in the Android Google app was updated from “Delete last 15 minutes” to “Delete last 30 minutes.”
At the time, this change was exclusive to the Android Google app, while the iOS Google app and the web version of Google remained at “Delete last 15 minutes.” However, we have since confirmed that the web version of Google has also quietly updated to show “Delete last 30 minutes.”

As the name suggests, the “Delete last 15 minutes” and “Delete last 30 minutes” buttons on Google Search act as a privacy feature that allows users to wipe their activity history from that specific time frame. While it has long been offered as a 15-minute option, Google began transitioning to a 30-minute window across various platforms and services starting in late 2025.
Incidentally, the iOS version of the Google app still displays “Delete last 15 minutes.”
