- Nojima Electric has jumped the gun and started taking pre-orders for the new “Fitbit Edge,” which hasn’t been officially announced yet.
- What’s more, the price is 6,800 yen, including tax.
- This price seems too good to be true, so it’s likely that the 6,800 yen (including tax) listed for the “Fitbit Edge” at Nojima Electric is a listing error.
Google’s new Fitbit brand product is officially announced on Monday, October 12, 2026 local time.
This new Fitbit product is expected to be the “Fitbit Edge,” the successor to the “Fitbit Charge” series. Nojima Online has jumped the gun and started accepting pre-orders for this unannounced new “Fitbit Edge” product around October 10, 2026.
Moreover, the listed price is 6,800 yen including tax. While the screenless wearable tracker “Fitbit Air” is priced at 16,800 yen including tax, the Fitbit Edge with a display is listed at 6,800 yen.
However, since this price is naturally unnatural, the 6,800 yen price tag for the “Fitbit Edge” on Nojima is likely a listing error. It will probably be around 26,800 yen including tax.
In any case, it has now become highly likely that the “Fitbit Edge” will also be released in the Japanese market.

The “Fitbit Edge” is expected to be a band-type fitness tracker featuring an oval display, positioned between Google Pixel’s “Google Pixel Watch 5” smartwatch and the screenless wearable tracker “Fitbit Air.” By featuring a display, it appears to support app operations and features not available on the “Fitbit Air,” such as smartphone notification displays, controls for apps like “Google Maps” and “YouTube Music,” and a “Find My Phone” feature.
On the other hand, unlike the “Google Pixel Watch 5,” you cannot add apps from the “Google Play Store,” making it a device strictly focused on fitness purposes. By the way, it appears to support not only Android but also iOS.
Fitness-related features of the “Fitbit Edge” include GPS, altitude measurement using an altimeter, and automatic activity recognition. Battery life is up to 7 days, the same as the “Fitbit Air,” which is significantly longer compared to the maximum 30 to 40 hours of the “Google Pixel Watch 5.”
It features elongated buttons on both sides of the main body, with sensors and a band-swapping detachment mechanism on the back. Colors are expected to match the color variations of the “Pixel 11” series, such as “Obsidian,” “Olive,” and “Canyon.” However, thanks to Nojima’s premature listing, the existence of a new color variation called “Fog” has also been revealed.
