“Power-saving mode,” which has begun rolling out as a new “Pixel Drop” feature in the Android Google Maps app on the “Pixel 10” series, is a simplified display mode. By pressing the power button after starting car navigation, it shows only key information like the next turn in a simple layout. As the name “Power-saving mode” suggests, battery consumption is reduced compared to normal navigation while this mode is active.
Of course, even while “Power-saving mode” is active, you can return to normal navigation by tapping the display.

If you don’t want to use “Power-saving mode,” you can also turn it off from the “Navigation” settings in the Android Google Maps app.
