New Colors! Pixel Buds 2a Adds Berry and Fog

Key Points of This Article
  • Google has added two new colors, “Berry” and “Fog,” to its new Google Pixel Bluetooth earphones, the “Pixel Buds 2a,” to coincide with the release of the “Pixel 10a.”
  • The “Pixel Buds 2a” is now available in a total of four colors.
  • Currently, this announcement applies to overseas markets.

On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, Google officially announced the “Pixel 10a,” the next generation of its budget-friendly Google Pixel device, in overseas markets including the US and UK.

Alongside the “Pixel 10a,” Google also introduced two new colors, “Berry” and “Fog,” for its new Bluetooth earphones, the “Pixel Buds 2a.” Originally available in two colors—the purple-toned “Iris” and the dark green “Hazel”—the addition of “Berry” and “Fog” brings the lineup to a total of four colors.

However, the addition of the new “Berry” and “Fog” colors for the “Pixel Buds 2a” is currently limited to overseas markets. While Japan still only offers the “Iris” and “Hazel” variants, it is expected that the new colors will be added alongside the launch of the Japanese domestic version of the “Pixel 10a” around April 2026.

The “Pixel Buds 2a” is the latest Google Pixel Bluetooth earphone model and the successor to the “Pixel Buds A-Series,” the first affordable version of Google’s Bluetooth earphones announced in June 2021.

In addition to its lightweight and compact design, it is equipped with the “Tensor A1” processor, the same as the “Pixel Buds Pro 2.” Furthermore, it marks the first time this series supports “Active Noise Cancellation.”

It also features a “Transparency Mode.” On the other hand, it does not support some features found in the “Pixel Buds Pro 2,” such as swipe-based volume adjustment or wireless charging for the charging case.

Like the “Pixel Buds Pro 2,” the “Pixel Buds 2a” features a stabilizer design that allows users to adjust the fit by twisting them once inserted into the ear. It also supports IP54 water and dust resistance, making it suitable for use during physical activities.

Battery life provides up to 10 hours of continuous use with “Active Noise Cancellation” OFF (up to 27 hours with the charging case) and up to 7 hours with “Active Noise Cancellation” ON (up to 20 hours with the charging case). It also supports “Gemini Live,” “Fast Pair (Bluetooth 5.4),” and “Find My Device.”

While the “Pixel Buds 2a” launched in two colors, the purple-themed “Iris” and dark green “Hazel,” the new “Berry” and “Fog” colors have been added with the announcement of the next-generation budget Pixel device, the “Pixel 10a,” making a total of four colors. The official price is 23,800 yen (tax included).
