The “Nano Banana” integration update for NotebookLM is a quality improvement where the slide images inserted into the “Video Overviews” feature are more based on the source material. This significantly upgrades the feature, allowing it to generate “Video Overviews” that are easier to understand and more memorable.
Additionally, the “Video Overviews” customization feature now allows you to choose from seven styles for the generated slide images: Classic, Whiteboard, Watercolor, Retro Style, Heritage, Paper Craft, and Anime. If no style is selected, the optimal one will be applied automatically.
In addition, the “Video Overviews” customization feature also lets you choose between two formats: “Explainer,” a comprehensive, structured format based on the source material, and “Brief,” a summary format that outlines the key points.
