On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Google began rolling out new features for “Slide Presentations” within the “Studio” content generation tool of “NotebookLM,” its research and writing assistant powered by the Google AI “Gemini.” These updates include post-generation prompt customization and “Microsoft PowerPoint (PPTX)” export capabilities.
“Slide Presentations” is a feature that generates slide images similar to “Google Slides” or “Microsoft PowerPoint.” Previously, customization instructions could only be provided before generation; however, users can now enter prompts for each generated slide to perform fine-tuned adjustments after the fact.
Furthermore, the ability to export content as a “Microsoft PowerPoint (PPTX)” file significantly improves usability. It also appears that exporting as a “Google Slides” file will be supported in the future.
