On Friday, November 21, 2025, Google began rolling out new “Infographic” and “Slide generation” features for “Studio,” the content generation function of its Gemini-powered research and writing assistant tool, NotebookLM (Google NotebookLM).
The new “Infographic” and “Slide generation” features in NotebookLM’s “Studio” utilize the recently launched state-of-the-art image generation AI “Nano Banana Pro” to create image-based content from your sources.

The “Infographic” feature summarizes the information from your sources into a single illustrative image. It also supports customization, allowing you to select the language, layout, and level of detail, as well as provide additional instructions via a prompt.
This feature can be used to generate featured images for blogs or thumbnails for YouTube.

The “Slide generation” feature creates a multi-page slide deck, similar to Google Slides, as a PDF file. Customization options include setting the format to “Detailed slides” or “Presenter slides,” as well as adjusting the language and length. Of course, you can also input additional instructions as a prompt.
Tools like PowerPoint and Google Slides are becoming less necessary.

The new “Infographic” and “Slide generation” features in NotebookLM’s “Studio” are now available to all NotebookLM users. Be sure to try them out.
