- Google has announced full customization for “Study Cards,” a new feature rolled out for NotebookLM.
- You can now manually customize the text of each generated “Study Card” one by one.
- The feature is likely rolling out first on the web version of NotebookLM.
On Monday, June 22, 2026 (local time), Google announced that it has begun rolling out full customization for “Study Cards,” a new feature within its research and writing assistant tool, NotebookLM.
The “Study Cards” feature in NotebookLM is a tool designed to generate learning cards based on your sources, provided as part of the “Notebook Guide” content generation suite.
Previously, NotebookLM’s “Study Cards” could be generated automatically based on sources or via specific prompts, but it was not possible to perform granular edits on the cards once created. With this update, full customization is now supported, allowing users to manually edit the text of each individual card.
This full customization feature for NotebookLM “Study Cards” is likely rolling out to the web version of NotebookLM first, and is expected to become available gradually on the Android and iOS versions of the Google NotebookLM app as well.
