On Thursday, November 5, 2026, local time, Motorola officially announced its new ultra-premium flagship smartphone, the “motorola signature 27.”
The “motorola signature 27” is a device that was previously previewed in September 2026 at the “Snapdragon Summit 2026” held in Hawaii. It is the second-generation model following the “motorola signature” announced in January 2026, and it adopts a new naming convention for Motorola’s ultra-premium devices by using the last two digits of the year following its release year in the product name. In other words, “27” stands for “2027.”
The official retail price of the “motorola signature 27” starts at $1,599 (approx. 245,000 JPY), with a global release scheduled for the coming months. However, no announcement has been made regarding its launch in Japan at this time.

The “motorola signature 27” is an ultra-premium Android device powered by Qualcomm’s top-tier processor, the “Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.”
In addition to enhancing on-device AI processing, camera experiences, and gaming performance, it achieves high communication speeds through a new 6-antenna design. To sustain high processing performance, it incorporates a new diamond-infused thermal gel and its proprietary “ArcticMesh” cooling system, which is 40% larger than the previous generation.

The display features the “Extreme AMOLED Duo” tandem display, boasting a peak brightness of up to 12,000 nits, the brightest ever on a smartphone. Compared to conventional AMOLED panels, it offers up to 34% higher energy efficiency and up to a 121% extended lifespan.
The rear camera is a quad-camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel “Sony LYTIA 910” main camera (with 3.5° OIS support), a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera supporting up to 100x AI zoom “Super Zoom Pro,” a smartphone-first dedicated EVS action sensor, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 122° field of view. This camera system has earned a “Gold Label” from the camera evaluation agency “DXOMARK,” receiving the highest praise among smartphones released in 2026.

For video recording, it is equipped with the “Video Enhancement Engine,” which uses AI to analyze scenes and automatically adjust color tone and exposure in real-time, and also supports recording in “Dolby Vision.” In terms of audio, through a partnership with the luxury Danish audio brand Bang & Olufsen, it adopts “Audio by B&O,” making it the only one of its kind in the market.
The “motorola signature 27” is optimized for Google AI “Gemini” and supports “Gemini Intelligence.” It also features support for “GrapheneOS,” which specializes in privacy and security, a first for a Motorola device. It will receive 7 OS updates and up to 7 years of security updates.
It packs a large 7,000mAh battery, a 35% capacity increase over the previous generation. It supports up to 90W “TurboPower” wired fast charging (providing a full day’s charge in 12 minutes) and up to 50W wireless charging.
The body design utilizes aerospace-grade aluminum and “Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3,” complying with the military standard “MIL-STD-810H” as well as IP68 / IP69 water and dust resistance ratings. It is available in two colors: “PANTONE Coal Smoke” with a textile-textured “Tactical Weave” finish for enhanced grip, and “PANTONE Capulet Olive” with a textile-style finish.
