On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, Google began rolling out the v1.3.0 update for “Google AI Edge Eloquent,” an AI transcription app featuring the “Gemma” small language model, which was originally released for iOS devices on Friday, April 10, 2026.
The version v1.3.0 update for the “Google AI Edge Eloquent” app introduces two major new features: audio/video file uploading and the complete removal of recording time limits. By uploading audio or video files to the app, users can now have the speech within those files transcribed.
Additionally, while the app previously allowed for an unlimited number of recordings, it has now also removed all restrictions on the duration of each recording. However, please be aware that these limits could potentially be reinstated in the future.
As a reminder, the “Google AI Edge Eloquent” app currently remains available in English only.

- No Cap: In addition to “no cap” on number of dictations, we’ve completely removed the limit on dictation length, so you can speak for as long as inspiration strikes! We also upgraded our polishing engine to flawlessly handle these marathon sessions without dropping a single thought. (And as a quick reminder, your raw, unedited text is always safe and ready to grab using that handy “Copy” button next to the “Original Text”).
