On Wednesday, September 23, 2026 local time, Google announced the integration of the video generation AI model “Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash” into its video editing service, “Google Vids.”

“Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash” is the latest version of the “Gemini Omni” video generation AI model, which was announced on Thursday, August 27, 2026. With this integration, any user with a Google account or a “Google Workspace” account can now use “Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash” to generate AI videos for free within “Google Vids.”

To use “Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash” in “Google Vids,” access “vids.new” on a desktop browser and select “Create AI videos” from the creation menu.

Integration of “Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash”

“Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash” in “Google Vids” offers new features that allow you to control the details of your video just as you envision—not only generating videos from prompts, but also smoothly extending scenes while maintaining consistency in lighting, character appearance, and backgrounds. Because you can precisely specify the length of the generated clips, you can create videos tailored to your story structure and narration.

“Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash” allows users to generate new scenes in 1080p HD quality, as well as upscale existing AI-generated clips so they blend seamlessly into the timeline. Ranging from individuals to businesses, a wide variety of use cases are anticipated, including new product introduction videos, store arrival announcements, corporate landing page and digital signage videos, and local event announcement videos. Ready-to-use templates are also provided.

Additionally, all video clips generated by “Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash” in “Google Vids” feature an invisible digital watermark, “SynthID,” embedded in the video frames, making it possible to verify whether the content was generated by AI.

The audio generation AI model “Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite TTS” is also scheduled to be integrated into “Google Vids” soon. This will allow users to generate natural narration voices in over 100 languages simply by entering a script.

Members of Google AI plans (“Google AI Plus / Pro / Ultra”) will be able to generate a higher volume of AI videos using “Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash” in “Google Vids.”
