- Google announced a redesign of the “Explore” page for its online search demand analysis tool, “Google Trends.”
- Visibility and functionality are enhanced with the introduction of Google AI “Gemini.”
- Rolling out first to the desktop version.
On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, Google announced a renewal of the “Explore” page for “Google Trends,” its online search demand analysis tool.
The revamped Google Trends “Explore” page introduces Google’s AI, Gemini, to improve visibility and functionality. Initially, when you enter a topic on the “Explore” page, Gemini will automatically suggest up to eight related search keywords and display them as a comparison on a graph.
For example, if you enter the topic “dog breeds,” search keywords such as “Golden Retriever,” “Beagle,” and “Shiba Inu” will be automatically suggested. Additionally, related ideas and Gemini prompts for further exploration will be displayed in a side panel.
Furthermore, visibility has been improved by assigning unique icons and colors to each term in the graph. The number of keywords that can be compared has also increased, and the number of displayed trending search keywords has doubled.
This renewal of the Google Trends “Explore” page will be rolled out gradually, starting with the desktop version.
