On Friday, December 12, 2025, Google announced improved feedback, the introduction of a learning goals feature, and expanded availability for its “Practice” language learning tool within the Google Translate app for Android and iOS.
Previously, the “Practice” feature in the Google Translate app for Android/iOS was available to English speakers learning Spanish or French, and to Spanish, French, or Portuguese speakers learning English. Now, it is expanding to about 20 new countries, including Germany, India, Sweden, and Taiwan.
However, it seems it has not yet been rolled out to Japan.

The improved feedback for the “Practice” tool in the Google Translate app for Android/iOS will now provide users with helpful tips based on their language learning. Additionally, the learning goals feature introduces a study streak tracker.
