On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, Google Japan announced the rollout of the “Certified Refurbished Google Pixel Program” in Japan, alongside the release of “Certified Refurbished” pre-owned Google Pixel devices—inspected and certified by Google—on its official e-commerce site, the “Google Store.”
The “Certified Refurbished Google Pixel Program” is an official pre-owned Google Pixel sales program that first launched on the US “Google Store” two years ago, on Monday, October 28, 2024. This program has finally arrived in Japan.
jetstream.blogUnder the “Certified Refurbished Google Pixel Program,” technicians inspect and test the battery, exterior, display, and internal components. If any parts replacement or refurbishment is necessary, Google Authorized Service Providers service the devices using only genuine parts, which are then sold on the “Google Store.” These devices offer a brand-new look and feel, come pre-installed with the latest Android software, and include the same 1-year limited warranty and customer support as new devices.
The lineup of “Certified Refurbished” devices includes previous-generation Google Pixel models such as the “Pixel 8” and “Pixel 9” series, available at special prices of up to 45% off the original Google Store launch price. Free shipping is, of course, included.
After purchase, customers will continue to receive regular software updates and new features via “Pixel Drops,” just like standard Google Pixel devices. Additionally, the packaging is 100% plastic-free and includes a compatible charging cable.
