  • “Results about you” is a security tool that allows users to request the removal of search results from Google if they contain personal information such as home addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses that have been leaked online.

On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, Google announced an expansion of the supported information for “Results about you,” a personal information leak monitoring tool available through the “Google My Activity” page.

Google’s “Results about you” is a security tool that allows users to request the removal of search results containing personal information—such as home addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses—if they are found to have been leaked on the internet. By opting into “Results about you,” monitoring begins, and users are notified via an alert if search results containing their personal information are found on “Google Search.” Following this, a request can be made to remove that information from Google Search results.

“Results about you” was first launched in English in the United States in August 2023, and has since been available in Japan since June 2025.

With this latest expansion, “Results about you” now supports the identification of information such as driver’s licenses, passports, and Social Security numbers. By registering your home address, phone number, email address, driver’s license, passport, or Social Security number within “Results about you,” you will be notified via an alert if that information is found to be leaked online, and you can then request its removal from Google Search.

However, this expansion of “Results about you” is initially rolling out in the United States. Preparations are underway for expansion to regions outside of the US.
