On Thursday, February 19, 2026, Google announced and began rolling out “Photoshoot,” a new feature for “Pomelli,” an experimental tool developed in collaboration with its AI research division “Google DeepMind.” Pomelli originally launched in public beta on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Essentially, “Pomelli” is an AI-powered tool for generating promotional materials. During the initial setup, by entering a company’s website URL, the Pomelli AI analyzes the writing tone, custom fonts, images, and color palettes to generate a unique “Business DNA” profile.

Along with the creation of the “Business DNA” profile, the tool also generates campaign idea materials based on that profile to be used in marketing efforts.

The newly launched “Photoshoot” feature is a product photography extension that utilizes the “Business DNA” profile generated in “Pomelli.” By uploading product photos taken with a smartphone to “Pomelli,” selecting a template, and specifying the desired visual style via prompts, users can generate professional-grade product photos tailored to their “Business DNA” profile.

The generated professional product photos can also be re-edited. This “Photoshoot” feature leverages the image generation AI model “Nano Banana.”
