On Tuesday, August 18, 2026 local time, Google reported a fix regarding the erroneous “End of Support” and “Requirements Not Met” notifications that were mistakenly sent to some users of the original “Google Pixel Watch.”

The erroneous notifications sent to some original Google Pixel Watch users this time were warning cards in the production environment indicating “End of Support” and “Requirements Not Met.” The notifications made it appear as though support for the original Google Pixel Watch had been terminated and that key features such as fitness tracking and sleep tracking would no longer be available, but these turned out to be false alarms.

Google has reiterated and announced that support for the original Google Pixel Watch will continue. However, the software update guarantee for the original Google Pixel Watch reached its expiration in October 2025, three years after its release.

Since the software update guarantee for the “Google Pixel Watch 2” is also set to expire in October 2026, users of the original “Google Pixel Watch” and “Google Pixel Watch 2” are encouraged to upgrade early to the “Google Pixel Watch 3” or later models.
