On Monday, September 29, 2025, Google announced the regional expansion of “Call Notes,” a feature currently available in the US within the default “Phone by Google” app for the Pixel 9 series and later Google Pixel devices.

“Call Notes” in the “Phone by Google” app is an AI feature powered by Google’s “Gemini Nano” AI model that transcribes and even summarizes call conversations. While it has been available in the US, a beta rollout for Australia, Canada, India, and Ireland during 2025 has been announced.

Additionally, new features for “Call Notes” will be introduced, including a function that suggests calendar events, tasks, and reminders that can be created with a single tap after a call. Furthermore, an ON/OFF option for “Call Notes” on a per-call basis has been rolled out. When the “Call Notes” option is turned on, the feature will start after three seconds.
