On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, Google officially announced the 11th-generation Google Pixel device, the “Pixel 11,” during its new product launch event, “Made by Google (Made by Google 2026).”
The “Pixel 11” is a new-generation Google Pixel device equipped with Google’s fastest and most powerful custom chip ever, the “Tensor G6,” and the latest “Gemini Nano” model. Compared to the previous-generation “Pixel 10,” it features major upgrades in both hardware and software, including significant camera and display improvements, as well as support for “Google Pixelsnap,” a magnetic wireless charging standard supporting “Qi 2.2 (up to 25W).”
The “Pixel 11” is available in four color variations: vibrant “Pistachio” and “Hibiscus,” and neutral “Frost” and “Obsidian.” It comes with 12GB of RAM and is offered in two internal storage capacities: 256GB and 512GB. The official retail prices are 136,800 yen (tax included) and 156,800 yen (tax included), respectively.
The release date for the “Pixel 11” is Thursday, August 20, 2026, and pre-orders have already begun on the online “Google Store” and other platforms.
Additionally, the annual special “Launch Celebration Campaign” is running until 11:59 PM on Friday, September 4, 2026. The campaign offers 37,900 yen in “Google Store Credit” usable for future purchases, along with an increase of at least 10,000 yen in trade-in value through the “Trade-in Program.”
Furthermore, new registrants will receive a bonus benefit allowing them to use “YouTube Premium” free for 3 months.
“Pixel 11”
The “Pixel 11” is an 11th-generation Google Pixel device optimized and designed for the next-generation intelligent system, “Gemini Intelligence.”
The equipped latest processor, “Google Tensor G6,” achieves 25% faster web browsing, a 15% improvement in app launch speeds, 50% higher AI engine processing power, and up to 3.5x faster on-device AI task processing, all while reducing power consumption. It also supports “Google Pixelsnap,” a magnetic wireless charging standard supporting “Qi 2.2 (up to 25W),” increasing charging speed by up to 25%.
The “Pixel 11” features a satin-finish metal frame and an all-glass back. The iconic rear camera bar has been reduced in thickness by 40% compared to the previous generation, evolving into a sleek, flat design that doesn’t wobble when placed on a table.
The display is a 6.3-inch Actua display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The display glass is protected by tough Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The camera system has also been revamped. The new, larger 48-megapixel main sensor offers a 56% increase in light sensitivity, allowing users to capture surprisingly stunning photos even in low-light environments. It also supports 5x optical zoom via a 10.8-megapixel telephoto lens and up to 30x Super Res Zoom through integration with the “Tensor G6.”
Additionally, new camera features include “Magic Capture,” which automatically extracts and edits photos of the best moments while shooting video; “Camera Styles,” which lets you customize unique tones reminiscent of classic film cameras as a default setting; and “Creator Suite” for intuitive video editing.
In terms of key features, “Gemini Intelligence,” the next-generation intelligent system that anticipates and supports users’ daily lives, has taken a major leap forward. Proactive new features will be rolled out sequentially, such as “AI Voice Input,” which automatically removes filler words like “um” and “uh” to provide clean transcriptions matching natural speech, and location-based insights that suggest recommended menus on your lock screen while waiting at a restaurant.
OS and security updates are guaranteed for 7 years. With the introduction of post-quantum cryptography powered by the latest “Titan M3” security chip, it safely protects your data from future threats, making it a device you can cherish for a long time.
