On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, Google officially announced the Pixel 10a, the next generation of its budget-friendly Google Pixel series, in international markets such as the US and UK, and opened pre-orders at the same time.

While the “Pixel 10a” carries the “Pixel 10” series name, it is powered by the “Tensor G4” processor—the same one found in the “Pixel 9” series—marking it as a previous-generation chip. In terms of primary specifications, the device appears to be a minor update over the “Pixel 9a.”

The “Pixel 10a” comes in four color variations: the purple-ish “Lavender,” the reddish “Berry,” the white “Fog,” and the black “Obsidian.” It is available in two internal storage models, 128GB and 256GB, priced at $499 and $599, respectively.

The device will launch in the US on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Additionally, a Japanese release for the “Pixel 10a” has also been announced.

Pixel 10a

The “Pixel 10a” is the latest budget-friendly Google Pixel model, equipped with the “Tensor G4” processor used in the “Pixel 9” series.

Traditionally, the “Pixel a” series has been positioned as an affordable model featuring the same processor as its flagship counterparts of the same generation. However, the “Pixel 10a” marks the first time a model has been released with a previous-generation processor. Its core specs suggest it is a minor refinement of the “Pixel 9a.” Unfortunately, it does not support “Pixelsnap,” the Qi2-based magnetic wireless charging unit that debuted with the “Pixel 10” series.

The “Pixel 10a” is designed with sustainability in mind, featuring a satin-finish frame made from 100% recycled aluminum and a back cover made from 81% recycled plastic. Recycled materials such as cobalt, copper, gold, and tungsten are also used throughout various components.

While the “Pixel 10a” maintains the same IP68 water and dust resistance as the “Pixel 9a,” its durability has been significantly enhanced with the inclusion of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The display is a 6.3-inch Actua display, similar to the “Pixel 9a,” but with an 11% increase in brightness.

The “Pixel 10a” features a 5,100mAh battery—identical in capacity to the “Pixel 9a”—providing over 30 hours of continuous use. However, its charging specifications have been improved, now supporting up to 45W fast wired charging and up to 10W fast wireless charging. Google guarantees seven years of OS and security updates from the time of launch.

Another standout feature of the “Pixel 10a” is that it is the first in the “Pixel a” series to support “Satellite SOS.”

Key specifications of the “Pixel 10a” include a 6.3-inch (2,424 × 1,080) Actua display with a 60-120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, the “Tensor G4” processor paired with the “Titan M2” security coprocessor, 8GB RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. It also houses a 5,100mAh battery with support for up to 45W fast charging and 10W wireless charging. The device will ship with Android 16 at launch.

The rear camera system consists of a dual-camera setup: a 48MP wide camera and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. It supports up to 8x Super Res Zoom and “Macro Focus” for close-up shots. The front camera is a 13MP single sensor housed in a punch-hole cutout.

Other features include USB Type-C 3.2, an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, 5G (Sub6) connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v6.0, and dual SIM support via a nanoSIM slot and eSIM.

The “Pixel 10a” color lineup includes “Lavender” (purple), “Berry” (red), “Fog” (white), and “Obsidian” (black). It is available in two configurations: 8GB RAM with either 128GB or 256GB of storage, priced at $499 and $599, respectively.
