Google Photos to Launch “Wardrobe” Feature in Summer 2026

On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Google announced “Wardrobe,” a new feature coming to the online photo library service “Google Photos” in the summer of 2026.

The new “Wardrobe” feature in Google Photos automatically identifies and records fashion items from your past photos to build a digital closet. A new “Wardrobe” section will be added to the “Collections” tab, where items are organized by categories such as jewelry, tops, and bottoms.

In addition, users can freely combine items to create outfits and utilize virtual try-on technology to see how they look. These outfits and virtual try-on results can be saved and shared.

New “Wardrobe” feature for Google Photos

The new Google Photos “Wardrobe” feature will first launch on the Android app, followed by a release for the iOS app. Please note that the rollout is currently scheduled for around the summer of 2026.
