Key Points of This Article
  • Google has announced “Lyria 3 Pro,” an advanced version of its music generation AI model, “Lyria 3.”
  • Users can now specify elements such as intro, verse, chorus, and bridge in prompts, and the maximum track length has been extended to 3 minutes.
  • The model will be rolled out via the AI video editing service “Google Vids” and the Google AI “Gemini” app.

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, Google announced “Lyria 3 Pro,” an advanced model of its “Lyria 3” music generation AI, which was originally announced in mid-February 2026.

The newly unveiled “Lyria 3 Pro” offers enhanced customization and supports the generation of tracks up to 3 minutes long. Beyond the ability to specify structural elements like intros, verses, choruses, and bridges through prompts, the maximum track length has been increased by sixfold, jumping from the 30-second limit in the standard “Lyria 3” to a full 3 minutes.

“Lyria 3 Pro” will be available to developers through platforms such as Google AI Studio and Vertex AI. For consumers, it will be integrated into the AI video editing service “Google Vids” and the Google AI “Gemini” app for “Google Workspace” users and members of Google One’s AI plans (“Google AI Plus,” “Google AI Pro,” and “Google AI Ultra”). In the “Gemini” app, the underlying AI model for the “Generate Music” feature will be automatically upgraded from “Lyria 3” to “Lyria 3 Pro.”

“Lyria 3 Pro” supports English, Korean, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, and Japanese. The service is available to users aged 18 and older.

Similar to “Lyria 3,” all music generated by “Lyria 3 Pro” will include “SynthID,” an imperceptible digital watermark.
