On Monday, June 29, 2026 (local time), Google began rolling out the “Take notes for me” feature—which leverages Google AI “Gemini”—for its video conferencing service, Google Meet, to members of “Google AI Pro” and “Google AI Ultra.”

“Take notes for me” in Google Meet is a feature that works in the background to transcribe conversations during video calls, automatically save them to Google Docs, and distribute AI summaries and to-do lists via email. The feature is available on the web, Android, and iOS versions of the Google Meet app for “Google AI Pro” and “Google AI Ultra” members.

Supported languages include English, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Japanese. Please note that “Take notes for me” can only be used in video meetings that you host yourself.

“Take notes for me”

You can set “Take notes for me” in Google Meet to run automatically for all video meetings by enabling the “Meeting notes” feature in the Google Meet settings. Even if you do not have this setting enabled, you can turn it on for individual meetings by clicking the “✎ (pencil)” icon at the top of the screen.
