On Friday, November 28, 2025, Google’s Japanese subsidiary, Google Japan, announced the integration of the generative AI model “Nano Banana” into its image search service, “Google Lens,” and its AI search feature, “AI Mode.”
With the integration of “Nano Banana” into “Google Lens” and “AI Mode,” it appears users will be able to edit photos and generate images using the generative AI model from each service. A released demo video for “Google Lens” confirms that users will be able to perform photo editing and image generation with “Nano Banana” by entering a prompt from the “🍌 Create (Nano Banana)” icon located in the bottom bar.
Photo editing and image generation using “Nano Banana” are currently available through the Google AI “Gemini” app, and it is likely that they will become available in “Google Lens” and “AI Mode” in the same way.
