Nine years ago, in October 2016, Google’s smart home management service, “Google Home,” was rebranded from the original “Google Cast.”
For nearly nine years, “Google Home” has been offered as a smart home management service based on “Google Assistant.” However, it has been revealed that it will soon be revamped into a new “Google Home” integrated with Google AI “Gemini (Gemini for Home),” and will also support the natural conversational command feature “Ask Home.”
It appears that the Google smart home management service, “Google Home,” is getting its first logo redesign. The new logo began rolling out to the iOS version of the “Google Home” app in late September 2025.
As seen in the image at the top of the article, the new “Google Home” logo has been updated to a rounder design with the four colors—red, blue, green, and yellow—blending in a gradient. It follows the same design style as the “Google” and “Gemini” logos.
For now, the logo has only been updated on the iOS “Google Home” app, but it is expected to be rolled out sequentially to the Android and web versions. Since new-generation “Google Home” products equipped with “Gemini for Home” will also be announced on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, it’s likely the full redesign will be completed at that time.
