On Monday, December 9, 2024, Google announced the introduction of a “Discovery” feed as a new feature for its AI-powered virtual try-on app, Doppl, which was released in the US in June of the same year.

Doppl is an AI-powered virtual try-on app for Android and iOS from Google’s experimental lab, Google Labs. It creates a lifelike avatar based on a user’s full-body photo. By loading clothes found on the web or social media, the avatar can virtually try them on.

A new, shoppable “Discovery” feed is being introduced to Doppl. In the “Discovery” feed, Doppl’s AI will suggest items, and you can have your avatar try them on. The suggested items are also linked to retailers, so if you like something, you can purchase it immediately.

However, Doppl is still only available in the US and cannot be downloaded in Japan.
