  • Google has announced support for natural conversation-based feed customization in its content curation service, “Google Discover.”
  • Users will be able to customize their “Google Discover” feed in the same way they send prompts to “Gemini.”
  • By sending requests through a dedicated “Google Discover” feed customization text box, the “Google Discover” feed will be customized precisely according to the input.

On Thursday, August 20, 2026 (local time), Google announced that its content curation service, “Google Discover,” will now support feed customization through natural conversation.

“Google Discover,” which has already become a global information source for users, allows manual customization of the feed by setting topics and web media they want to see more often, as well as those they want to see less. However, the current system requires users to separately register topics and web media they want to see more under “Following” and those they want to see less under “Not interested,” which can be somewhat confusing.

Moving forward, however, Google Discover will newly support feed customization using natural conversation. Much like sending prompts to “Gemini,” users will be able to send requests via a dedicated “Google Discover” feed customization text box, tailoring their Discover feed exactly as requested.
