New Google AI Plan “Google AI Ultra Lite (Neon)” Leaked

Key Points of This Article
  • Google may introduce a new “Google One” AI plan called “Google AI Ultra Lite.”
  • This information was uncovered through an analysis of the app files in the latest update to the Mac version of the “Gemini” app.
  • Resource code related to a dedicated page for viewing token usage in the “Gemini” app (gemini.google.com/usage) was also discovered.

Google may soon offer a new “Google One” AI plan called “Google AI Ultra Lite.”

Currently, the “Google One” AI plans include three tiers: “Google AI Plus” at 1,200 yen/month, “Google AI Pro” at 2,900 yen/month, and the premium “Google AI Ultra” at 36,400 yen/month (all prices include tax). At more than 10 times the cost of “Google AI Pro,” “Google AI Ultra” is, quite frankly, extremely expensive.

While the ultra-premium “Google AI Ultra” features exclusive access to tools like “Gemini Agent” and “Deep Think reasoning mode,” very few average users can easily justify paying 36,400 yen per month. Perhaps with this in mind—or possibly in response to competing services like “ChatGPT (Pro)” and “Claude (Max),” or perhaps a combination of both—Google appears to be considering an “Ultra Lite” plan that would bridge the gap between “Google AI Pro” and “Google AI Ultra.”

This information comes from an analysis of app files in the latest update to the Mac version of the “Gemini” app, released on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. While Google has not officially announced this, the discovery of resource code related to “Google AI Ultra Lite” (codenamed: Neon) in the latest update has fueled reports about its potential arrival. Specific pricing details remain unknown at this time.

Additionally, the app file analysis revealed resource code for a dedicated page (gemini.google.com/usage) designed to display token usage within the “Gemini” app. Currently, there is no way for users to check real-time token usage in the “Gemini” app, which can lead to unexpected service interruptions when the “Pro” AI model hits its usage limits. This new page could allow users to monitor their remaining tokens and utilize the “Gemini” app more efficiently in the future.

Both the “Google AI Ultra Lite” plan and the dedicated token usage page (gemini.google.com/usage) are highly anticipated additions for “Gemini” app users.
