On Friday, November 6, 2026 local time, Google announced new features rolling out to the “Flashcards” feature in the AI research tool “Gemini Notebook.”
The new features added to the “Gemini Notebook” Flashcards consist of a total of three updates: image support, a stopwatch feature to test memory recall, and a study reminder setting for the mobile version. The “Gemini Notebook” Flashcards are part of “Studio,” a content generation feature that automatically creates memorization cards based on imported sources and materials.
While previous Flashcards were mainly text-based, this update allows cards to include images, enabling visual memorization learning using diagrams and photos. Additionally, a stopwatch feature has been added to measure the time it takes to recall answers, and a study reminder setting has been rolled out for the Android and iOS versions of the “Gemini Notebook” app to help prevent users from forgetting to review.
