On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, Google announced “Convert to table,” a new AI-powered feature for “Gemini in Google Sheets”—the integration of Google’s AI into the Google Sheets spreadsheet service—designed to convert unstructured text into organized tables.
“Convert to table,” rolled out as a new feature for Gemini in Google Sheets, is a highly practical tool that instantly turns unformatted data into a table. Simply paste content—such as bullet points, free-form text, or JSON—into a sheet, and a “Convert to table” button will appear. By clicking this button, the pasted data is instantly converted into a structured table.

The “Convert to table” feature for Gemini in Google Sheets is being rolled out to Google Workspace accounts, as well as to members with “Google AI Pro” or “Google AI Ultra” memberships under the Google One AI plan.
