On Friday, October 3, 2025, Google published a list of frequently asked questions and their answers regarding the new-generation smart home service “Google Home,” which was recently announced as a renewal of the previous service.

In the FAQ, Google re-announced the Google Home / Nest devices compatible with “Gemini for Home,” the AI model for the new-generation “Google Home.” Although it was initially announced that the compatible devices would be the Google smart speakers “Nest Mini” and “Nest Audio” and the smart displays “Nest Hub” and “Nest Hub Max,” it now appears that the original “Google Home,” “Google Home Mini,” “Google Home Max,” and the “Nest Wifi point” (the extension point for “Nest Wifi”) will also support “Gemini for Home.”

Please note that “Gemini for Home” for Google Home / Nest devices will begin rolling out in the US as an early access “Public Preview” on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, with the launch in Japan scheduled for early 2026.
