On Friday, March 27, 2026, Google released the March 2026 edition of “Gemini Drop,” highlighting the latest features for the Google AI “Gemini” announced this month.
In March 2026, Google announced a total of five new “Gemini” features: the data import tool “Import Memory to Gemini,” free access to “Personal Intelligence,” three new features for “Gemini for Google TV,” the advanced music generation model “Lyria 3 Pro,” and the next-generation voice-first AI “Gemini 3.1 Flash Live.” Excluding the free access to “Personal Intelligence” and the “Gemini for Google TV” features, these have been deployed globally, including in Japan.
Data Import Tool: “Import Memory to Gemini”

Previously identified by the codename “Robin Import,” the “Import Memory to Gemini” tool—designed to allow users to migrate to Gemini from other AI services like ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot—was finally launched on Thursday, March 26, 2026.
“Import Memory to Gemini” provides two key tools: “Add Memory,” which captures personalization information recognized by other AI services, and “Import Chats,” which allows users to upload exported ZIP files of chat histories to continue their conversations in Gemini.

Free Access to “Personal Intelligence” [US]

“Personal Intelligence,” a personal AI assistant providing highly personalized information, was made free in the United States on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. It was initially introduced for Gemini app users with “Google AI Pro” or “Google AI Ultra” memberships, and later expanded to the “AI Mode” search feature and the “Gemini in Chrome” browser service.
Note that this rollout currently starts with “AI Mode.” It is expected to be available for free in the Gemini app and “Gemini in Chrome” in the near future.

Three New Features for “Gemini for Google TV”

On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, three new features were announced for “Gemini for Google TV,” the TV platform integrated with Google AI. These include precise answers, narrated visual explanations for topics in health/wellness, finance, and technology, and the latest sports updates.
“Gemini for Google TV” is currently available in the US and Canada. In these regions, a rich visual help function powered by Gemini is available, and users in the US also have access to a feature providing detailed analytical summaries of sports events.

Advanced Music Generation Model “Lyria 3 Pro”

“Lyria 3 Pro,” an advanced version of the music generation AI “Lyria 3” announced in mid-February 2026, was unveiled on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
“Lyria 3 Pro” offers enhanced customization and supports the generation of tracks up to 3 minutes in length. Users can now specify elements like intros, verses, choruses, and bridges via prompts. Additionally, the maximum track length has been extended sixfold from the 30 seconds available in “Lyria 3” to a full 3 minutes.
“Lyria 3 Pro” will be available to developers via the multimodal AI development platform “Google AI Studio” and the machine learning platform “Vertex AI.” It is also rolling out for users aged 18 and over with Google Workspace accounts or “Google AI Plus,” “Google AI Pro,” or “Google AI Ultra” memberships, accessible through the AI video editing service “Google Vids” and the Google AI “Gemini” app. Supported languages include English, Korean, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, and Japanese.

Next-Generation Voice-First AI “Gemini 3.1 Flash Live”

The “Gemini 3.1 Flash Live,” a next-generation voice-first AI model evolved for high-quality, real-time conversational capabilities, was announced on Thursday, March 26, 2026.
“Gemini 3.1 Flash Live” is a conversation-optimized model that improves upon the “Gemini 2.5 Flash Native Audio” by enhancing voice comprehension. It has evolved to better recognize acoustic nuances such as pitch and pacing, enabling it to handle complex tasks in noisy environments and respond accurately to emotional cues like user frustration or confusion.
“Gemini 3.1 Flash Live” is being released for developers and has also begun deployment as the base AI model for “Gemini Live” and “Search Live.”
