On Thursday, February 19, 2026, Google announced and began the rollout of “Gemini 3.1 Pro,” an upgraded version of its AI service, “Gemini.”
As the name implies, “Gemini 3.1 Pro” is an upgrade based on “Gemini 3 Pro.” Designed to handle the most complex tasks, its reasoning performance has evolved to be more than twice as powerful as “Gemini 3 Pro.”
“Gemini 3.1 Pro” will be rolled out starting from the day of the announcement to the Gemini app, NotebookLM, and for developers. However, this rollout is specifically for members of the “Google One” AI plans, namely the “Google AI Pro” and “Google AI Ultra” memberships. It will not be available to free users.
