- Google has announced that “macOS 12 (Monterey)” will no longer be supported starting with Chrome v151, which is scheduled for release on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
- Chrome v151 for macOS will not be the final version to support “macOS 12 (Monterey)”; instead, Chrome v150 will be the final version to support it.
- While Chrome v150 and earlier versions can still be used on macOS 12, they will no longer receive updates.
On Friday, January 23, 2026, Google announced that “macOS 12 (Monterey)” will be deprecated for its “Chrome” browser service starting with v151, which is scheduled for release in about six months on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
Chrome v151 for macOS will not be the final version to support “macOS 12 (Monterey)”; rather, the preceding release, Chrome v150, will be the last supported version. This means that Chrome v151 and later will require “macOS 13 (Ventura)” or newer.
Please note that while Chrome v150 and earlier versions for macOS will continue to function, updates will no longer be provided for “macOS 12 (Monterey)” or earlier, which increases security risks. Please keep this in mind.
