On Friday, March 27, 2026, Google officially announced a new push notification feature for the Google NotebookLM app on Android and iOS, which is a research and writing assistant tool powered by Google’s AI, “Gemini.”
The push notification feature for the Google NotebookLM app on Android and iOS is a convenient tool that alerts your device once content generation is complete after you have initiated a task using features such as “Studio” in NotebookLM. It is simple to use; just enable push notifications by tapping “Get notified” when you run a content generation task in “Studio.”

Additionally, it appears that when you generate content using “Studio” in the web version of NotebookLM, you will also receive push notifications on your Android/iOS app once the process is finished. However, since there are currently no notification settings implemented for the web version of NotebookLM, this may still be in a test rollout phase.
