Google NotebookLM for Android/iOS Now Supports Adding Sources From Share

  • The Android/iOS “Google NotebookLM” app now supports adding sources directly via the share function.
  • This new ability to add sources directly from the share menu eliminates the need for copy-and-paste, making the process much smarter.
  • You can add sources not only to new notes but also to existing notes by selecting a pre-existing one.

The Android and iOS apps for NotebookLM (Google NotebookLM), a research and writing assistant tool powered by Google’s AI “Gemini,” now support adding sources directly through the share function.

Previously, adding a source to a note in the Android/iOS “Google NotebookLM” app required you to copy the content’s URL and then paste it into the note’s source field. However, with the new ability to add sources directly via the share function, the copy-and-paste step is no longer necessary, making the process much more streamlined.

Incidentally, when adding sources directly via sharing in the Android/iOS “Google NotebookLM” app, you can add them not only to new notes but also to existing notes by selecting a pre-existing one. Furthermore, while the Android/iOS “Google NotebookLM” app currently only allows for the generation of one “Audio overview” per note, the ability to generate multiple “Audio overviews” will be unlocked in the future.
