  • The Android version of the “Google Wallet” app, which had just undergone a UI redesign, has been redesigned again.
  • Credit cards and e-money options now appear in a card-style UI, making it easier to switch between credit cards for NFC payments, select “Suica” as your primary card, and choose the primary credit card for “iD” and “QUICPay.”
  • The overall UI resembles that of a “Rakuraku Phone.”

The Android version of Google’s digital wallet management service, “Google Wallet,” which had just received a UI refresh around late July 2026, has undergone yet another UI redesign.

In this latest UI update, credit cards and electronic money now feature a card-style UI. This makes it much easier to switch credit cards for NFC payments, select your primary “Suica,” and choose the main credit card to be used for “iD” and “QUICPay.”

However, the overall UI kind of looks like an “easy smartphone” (senior-friendly phone) interface.

It is unclear exactly when this senior-friendly UI for the Android version of the “Google Wallet” app rolled out, but as long as you have updated both the Android “Google Wallet” app and the “Google Play services” app to their latest versions, the interface should automatically refresh.
