- The five new widgets include “Camera input” for launching Google Lens translation mode, “Voice” for voice translation, “Live translation” for conversation translation, “Clipboard” for direct translation of copied text, and “Translate text” for translating pasted text.
- The total number of widgets available for the Android Google Translate app is now seven.
It appears that five new widgets for the Android version of the “Google Translate” app have begun a wider rollout as of mid-March 2026.
The potential for these five new widgets was first spotted in app version v10.5.41, released in mid-February 2026. We later confirmed their rollout to select Android devices in app version v10.7.52, which was released in early March 2026. Now, with app version v10.8.48 released in mid-March 2026, we have confirmed a broader rollout of these five new widgets.

Previously, the Android Google Translate app offered only two widgets: “Translate quick actions” and “Saved translations.” The five newly added widgets are “Camera input” for launching the Google Lens translation mode, “Voice” for audio translation, “Live translation” for conversation features, “Clipboard” for directly translating text copied to the clipboard, and “Translate text” for translating text that you paste into the widget.
This brings the total number of widgets for the Android Google Translate app to seven. It is worth noting that while the “Translate text” widget was originally labeled “Translate Text,” it has been localized for the Japanese market in conjunction with the wider rollout in app version v10.8.48.
