The “Moods” feature in the Android version of the “Google Photos” app has finally started rolling out around early October 2026.

The “Moods” feature for the Android “Google Photos” app is an AI image generation feature that transforms photos into a nostalgic, vintage look with styles such as “35mm Film,” “2000s Cinema,” and “Retro Contrast.” Unlike standard “filters,” it automatically adjusts the effects for each photo, and you can also fine-tune the intensity of the effect using a slider.

Please note that “Moods” is located within the “Create” tab, and the process requires you to select “Moods” and then choose a single photo. Be aware that it is not provided as a standard photo “Editing” tool.

As of now, there has been no announcement regarding the rollout of the “Moods” feature to the iOS version of the “Google Photos” app.
