The Android version of the Google health app “Google Health” began receiving its version v5.03 update on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

In the Android version of the “Google Health” app v5.03, updates have been made to the “Today” tab, sleep features, as well as fitness and activity tracking.

The release notes for the “Google Health” app v5.03 are as follows:

■ “Today” Tab Enhancements
  • The variety of metric tiles available for the “Today” tab has been expanded. Users can now select Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Breathing Rate, SpO2, Resting Heart Rate, Skin Temperature Variation, Blood Glucose, Mindful Minutes, Mindfulness Days, Resilience, Protein Intake, Fat Intake, Carbohydrate Intake, and Friend Leaderboards. While these metrics were previously only viewable in the “Health” tab, they can now be added to the “Today” tab dashboard, allowing for easier, at-a-glance monitoring of daily progress.
■ Sleep Feature Updates
  • Enhanced tracking for Total Sleep Time and Main Sleep: Naps of 20 minutes or longer are now counted toward your 24-hour total sleep time (viewable in the daily sleep view of the “Sleep” tab). This view also displays time-series trends for your main sleep session and your total sleep time (main sleep plus naps). Note that the “Today” tab metric tile will continue to display only the main sleep duration.
■ Fitness and Activity Updates
  • Fixed swimming measurement issue: Resolved a bug where distance and units for swimming exercises were displayed incorrectly for some users.
  • Fixed elevation display issue with Strava: Resolved a bug where elevation gain in the “Google Health” app differed significantly from values in Strava or TCX files.
■ iOS Version v5.03 (Previously available in Android v5.02)
The following updates, which were previously provided in Android “Google Health” app v5.02, are now included in iOS “Google Health” app v5.03:
  • Easier sorting of “Key Metrics” in the “Health” tab: You can now reorder charts in the “Key Metrics” section of the “Health” tab via drag-and-drop. Simply tap “Customize,” press and hold the chart you wish to move, and drag it to your desired position.
  • Improved food search: Search results now display serving sizes and calories, making it easier to find the specific food items you are looking for.
  • Easier access to nap data: Recorded nap data is now easier to find, and can be viewed via individual tabs on the daily sleep score screen.
