The Android version of the Google Contacts app now supports individual vibration settings for each contact, in addition to individual ringtones.
Previously, the Android Contacts app featured “Contact ringtone,” which allowed users to set a specific ringtone for each contact. However, with the app version v4.90 update released on Monday, October 19, 2026, this has been changed to “Contact ringtone & vibration,” enabling users to customize both ringtones and vibrations for individual contacts.

While the “Contact ringtone” setting for individual contacts in the Android Contacts app has now been renamed to “Contact ringtone & vibration,” the “Contact ringtone” setting internally remains intact. It is likely that Android devices that do not support individual vibration settings will continue to display just the “Contact ringtone” setting.
