On Wednesday, October 28, 2026 (local time), Google announced the rollout of “Enhanced Autofill,” an upgraded version of “Google Autofill” for the Chrome browser service that suggests and automatically inputs information extracted from “Gmail” when filling out online forms.
The newly announced Chrome feature, “Enhanced Autofill,” is a Gemini-powered function equipped with “personal intelligence” that extracts detailed information—such as order numbers, tracking details, and flight reservations—from Gmail and automatically suggests it while you fill out online forms. While traditional Google Autofill handled basic information like names, addresses, and credit card numbers, Enhanced Autofill enables smoother entry of more personalized data.
Additionally, Google plans to roll out a further expansion of Google Autofill that will securely extract and auto-fill information from images saved in Google Photos. Naturally, sensitive data is encrypted, and users can toggle Enhanced Autofill on and off as well as manage access permissions directly through Chrome’s settings.
The new Chrome feature, Enhanced Autofill, is initially rolling out to users of the desktop version of Chrome and the Chrome apps for Android and iOS in the United States. Because it is a feature utilizing “personal intelligence,” enabling “app integration” for personal intelligence is, of course, required.
