- Does the “Fitbit Edge” support dual simultaneous pairing like the “Fitbit Air”? We tested it to find out.
- Surprisingly, it does support multi-pairing.
- It supports simultaneous multi-pairing across 3 devices: the “Google Pixel Watch,” “Fitbit Air,” and “Fitbit Edge.”
The “Fitbit Edge,” a new fitness tracker from the Fitbit brand, was released on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
Positioned between the screenless “Fitbit Air” and the Google Pixel smartwatch “Google Pixel Watch,” the “Fitbit Edge” left one nagging question unanswered at the time of its announcement: whether or not it supports simultaneous pairing with the “Google Pixel Watch.”
The “Fitbit Air” became the first Fitbit device to support simultaneous dual-pairing, allowing users to seamlessly switch between it and the “Google Pixel Watch.” However, no information regarding this was released for the “Fitbit Edge,” leaving physical testing as the only option.
So, after the “Fitbit Edge” arrived in my hands on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, I tested whether simultaneous dual-pairing is supported. To my surprise, it actually supports multi-pairing.
My ongoing devices—the “Google Pixel Watch 5” and “Fitbit Air”—along with the newly added “Fitbit Edge,” now support simultaneous multi-pairing across 3 devices. This means you can seamlessly switch between them depending on the situation without having to manually change the connection in the “Google Health” app: use the “Google Pixel Watch” for daily wear, the “Fitbit Air” for sleeping, and the “Fitbit Edge” for workouts.
It was completely unexpected, so I am pleasantly surprised.

It remains unclear why Google does not officially announce that the “Google Pixel Watch,” “Fitbit Air,” and “Fitbit Edge” support multi-pairing. Because this point was uncertain, some of you may have hesitated to purchase the “Fitbit Edge,” but rest assured, it actually does support multi-pairing.
