- Positioned as a mid-tier model between the screenless wearable tracker “Fitbit Air” and the Google Pixel smartwatch “Google Pixel Watch 5.”
Ever since fitness tracker manufacturer Fitbit announced the “Fitbit Charge 6” in October 2023 three years ago, the company has not released a successor to the “Fitbit Charge” series.
However, the “Fitbit Edge (tentative)” may soon arrive as the de facto successor to that very “Fitbit Charge” series. Overseas media Android Headlines has exclusively reported rendering images and product details of this unannounced, mysterious device.
As you can see, the “Fitbit Edge (tentative)” is a band-style fitness tracker equipped with an oval-shaped display. Interestingly, it was previously spotted as an unidentified device in Google’s promotional images when the “Pixel 11” series was announced in August of this year, 2026, and details about this mysterious device have now come to light.
The “Fitbit Edge (tentative)” appears to be positioned as a mid-tier model between the screenless wearable tracker “Fitbit Air” and the Google Pixel smartwatch, the “Google Pixel Watch 5.” By featuring a display, unlike the “Fitbit Air,” it supports smartphone notification displays, media controls for apps like “Google Maps” and “YouTube Music,” and select app functionalities such as the “Find My Phone” feature.
On the other hand, unlike the “Google Pixel Watch 5,” it will not be able to add new apps from the “Google Play Store,” making it a device strictly focused on fitness purposes.

As for fitness-related features, the “Fitbit Edge (tentative)” supports GPS, elevation tracking via an altimeter, and automatic activity recognition. Its battery life lasts up to 7 days, the same as the “Fitbit Air,” offering significantly longer endurance compared to the 30 to 40 hours of the “Google Pixel Watch 5.”
The device features elongated buttons on both sides of the main body, along with sensors and a detachable mechanism for band replacement on the rear. It comes in three color options: “Obsidian,” “Olive,” and “Canyon,” matching the color variations of the “Pixel 11 Pro.” Additionally, it will support iOS as well as Android.

While the release date and pricing of the “Fitbit Edge (tentative)” have not yet been disclosed, if it is indeed the successor to the “Fitbit Charge 6,” the likelihood of it being announced within October 2026 is quite high.
