Google has announced in the latest September 2026 edition of the “Google System Release Notes“—which summarizes the “Google System Updates” released on Monday, September 28, 2026, to improve the security and reliability of Android-related devices—that new features will be rolled out for “Gemini,” “Circle to Search,” “Quick Share,” “Find My Device,” and “Android Auto” on Android.
However, the specific details remain unknown as they have not yet been published. This is a classic characteristic of the “Google System Release Notes,” which frequently omit specifics. These features are expected to be rolled out via version 26.38 or later of the Android “Google Play services” app.
That said, the simultaneous rollout of new features for “Gemini,” “Circle to Search,” “Quick Share,” “Find My Device,” and “Android Auto” suggests that we can anticipate some form of major update, potentially tying into new feature rollouts like “Android Drop” or “Pixel Drop.”
